flu, influenza

LLP 175: Where has the flu gone?

Let's talk about Where has the flu gone?

Last year at this time we had 39 million cases of the flu from October 2019 to April 2020.

This year we have approximately 2200 cases to date, there isn't a chance that we will even come close to our 2020 numbers and it has physicians across the country scratching their heads on why.

I think the biggest elephant in the room is COVID-19 and all the precautions that are in place to protect those from that virus but it clearly has had the added benefit of protecting us from the cold & flu.

In today's episode, I am talking about the flu and why it has been a forgotten disease this cold & flu season.
